No one likes boring still images, nor does any like watermarks on their branded products.  Resolve those nasty eyesores by downloading this free beat (instrumental) visualizer template for After Effects, don't worry... there's no plugins needed.

Jumping right in, all you will need is a version of After Effects (should be good in any version), a icon/image, and an audio music file.  Once you open the beat visualizer template you will notice a few things such as background element and several audio amplitude layers that are required to make things move.

One of the most important things about this beat visualizer template is the line code that makes the icon bounce or move when the kick drum is played.  If you toggle the size or highlight the icon image layer and press, "S", you will see the line of code I am referring towards.

Take a look at the code below and note this url in case you decide to mess around with the value levels (numbers) and need to resort back to the original. 

Note:  The numbers being used in this entry are those specifically used for that audio file.  You may need to change these numbers to fit your music better.

You can fiddle around the numbers and see how they affect your image when having your own music file accompanying and I'll spare the mathematics of the middle lines of code for another time, but feel free to learn more by yourself by visiting Dan Ebberts's Expressioneering Design Guide

This beat visualizer comes loaded with cool effects that don't need any 3rd party plugin.  Everything was done within After Effects with stock options.  All you have to do is replace each file with the file of your own!

Feel free to customize this music visualizer with any files or expressions you want.  Replace the background gradient with a wallpaper image and make the scary "Jim" image into your branded logo, you may even change the snow particles colors and behavior to fit your style!

For time and space purposes, the project template file only renders 20 seconds.  You will need to extend the composition and layer lengths to fill your entire audio file.
